Here's the bad news:
I haven't been feeling too wonderful lately - actually i've been coughing so hard my throat went raw and I coughed up blood, and then everytime I cough my chest feels as though an elephant is stepping on it. Not fun. I also am taking this totally rank medicine that makes me gag and make obscene facial gestures.

... not gonna say it... not gonna say it...

All right, I'll say it.

I despise Eragon. I read it, but the entire time I kept a running count of how much of the story was taken from other things. Any serious publisher would never have published it, but, of course, our Beloved Author got his dear old daddy to publish it for him.

Honestly, if I were a publisher I would have sent it back with a great big stamp that said, "Great job! Now STOP PLAGIARISING."

However, I like dragons, especially green ones, so I'm going to see it.

If you like dragon books, check out the Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey. They're a thousand times better.

Eh - I realized when I read it that it was not the most original story - like the whole magic bit and what not. But still... I thought it was pretty well written and still a good story.

And if you like GREEN dragons - you might be in trouble. Because his dragon is blue

I don't mean not original- I mean I took a pen and started counting sections and lines that were straight out of other books. Some plot lines and stuff, as well. More than basic concepts.

In all honesty, I enjoyed it. I was just irritated by the plagiarismness so much that it drove me crazy.

And I know that the dragon's not green- I just like green dragons. :D I told Dannica that I wanted a dragon for Christmas, so she got a dragon pin. It's amazing. :D
