What's up Wayne kids?

Hey guys- for my Jersey culture class, I have to write a term paper on Wayne. So give me your thoughts, experiences, etc. about living in/growing up in Wayne. It doesn't have to be much, just anything- a story or something that you think really signifies "Wayne". Thanks so much, and sorry if you got this email too.

One time I counted thirty-four pairs of Ugg boots on my way from Latin to band (I definitely missed a few, too. The Count-the-Ugg-Boots Game is a very stressful and overwhelming one)... I guess that's more of a Hills thing than a Wayne thing, but whatever.

OMFG THE "IF" House. Well done!

That is probably the most known landmark in our quiet little mountain town.

Now remember that this is my opnion but I believe Wayne to be a sheltered bubble. We are the typical suburban American town with few problems that everyone makes a huge ordeal about. Wayne is a perfect place to raise a family and as a community everyone seems to get along just fine.

I feel like Wayne is a pretty good place to grow up, but once you've grown enough, you realize that Wayne is not a good representation of real life. Even the poor people in Wayne have money, and there is a lot of emphasis on appearences.

I grew up with grandparents who lived at the lake, and so my brother and I went to swim lessons there in the summer. At one point, a huge argument arose (led mainly by senior citizens) that it was unfair for grandchildren of lake members to be allowed to participate in lake activities. Now, my family lives here. I have always resented the fact that dues must be paid and badges worn to be on lake property. The snobery definately carries over to this entire town...

....take the way parents always fight their kids battles at school. Whenever sometime goes wrong, a parent calls. I love this place; still, there needs to be less shelter, like Connie says- kids need to get hurt once and a while.

And because no one said it already- mention the KGD and Dunkin.
