I'm on dial-up. My broadband box isn't getting power. It was a week before I built up the energy to crawl under the desk and plug in a phone line. I haven't had time to deal with the cable company. My cat is trapped under my house. I can't get to her until the water goes down. It's up to the edge of the porch. I'm in Houston and we took a pounding. There is two feet of water in my yard. My house was built in the forties and is on blocks, so I have to wait for the water to recede about a foot before I can even see underneath ( Read more... )

Well, hell. I just got out of going to one of Dean's stupid movies two weeks ago, and I'll be damned if he didn't wait on me. I should be grateful. But sometimes I want to pick the movie. Our taste in movies doesn't mesh. He doesn't even watch BSG.
