Well, I'm back from my vacation. I spent 3 full days at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had so much fun.We planned on spending at least one day in DC, but didn't want to leave Baltimore so we're going to go back down September/October to do the DC thing.  ...well, they found colon cancer during my mother's colonoscopy, so they went in today and removed half her colon. The surgery went well and the surgeon was pleased. He figures her recovery time to be between five to seven days. Thank God. The poor thing has had a really rough week and I hate seeing her so miserable.  Thanks for replying to my rambling post. I appreciate it. Unfortunately my mother ended up back in the hospital today. They found a small bowel obstruction. We don't know when her surgery will be or what happens next. It's all so confusing. Thank God I work in a nursing home and have a steady stream of medical people to help me understand it all.
