HEY. come to the NHS' benefit event at SOTA for the North St. Rec Center! Friday, March 24 at 7:30. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Come support a good cause, hear some good music, see some good art (maybe buy some too) and feel good about life!

ok ok ok, for real now, this is what i've been told we're doing:

you donate art, you get in free, unless you want to pay something extra because you're a wonderful person.

Hey, what's the procedure for getting into NHS at SOTA? I've just gotten invited to apply at my school, so I was wondering if all schools have the same procedures, how hard it is to get in, etc.

i'll tell you, but you have to come to the show.

Candidates for NHS are chosen at first because their grades are high enough, i think at least a b+ average over the previous two years of highschool, though it may be just b, too.
Each person in that pool, if they wish to ben further considered, has to supply three letters of recommendation - one for (community) service, character and leadership each. Then they get reviewed by a panel and the ones that get approved are initiated at a cermony a few weeks later.

of a class of something like 127, i think about 20 are in NHS.
