Very. I've certainly never heard of anything quite like this ever happening before...

I think they should let him off the hook.

Maybe. But, then again, maybe he needs to be cleaned up and sentenced to long-term probation in a good home where he'll be kept safe and out of trouble :-)

He does look like he might have been damaged by the ordeal :-/ But if he was hurt, that's all the more reason for someone to take him home, clean and fix him up, and keep him safe...

"The deaths prompted Fawcett to release a written warning: 'RELEASE OF ANY TEDDY BEARS into the fish hatchery water IS NOT PERMITTED.' "

Despite the tradgedy of someone losing/neglecting a really nice bear, I loled. Heh.

I wonder if there will be a 'Don't abandon bears here' roadsign/notice put up too? I'd put those up all over the place, if I could. :P

*chuckle* I laughed at that, too.

That sounds like a good sign to put up everywhere :-) Or, better yet, put up signs with directions to a warm, dry, safe place where bears (and other plush) could be left and then gathered up and taken to a good new home with someone who'll truly care for them...
