TV Meme - Day One: A show that should never have been cancelled

Firefly was my gut reaction and I think after some consideration I will stick with it. I actually only came to Firefly after it was already cancelled, what with living in the UK and all that. Never watched it on TV at all, but heard so much about it that I just went and bought the DVD box set. It's one of my better purchases. Even the husband liked it, and he absolutely LOATHED Buffy (much to my chagrin, but I think that was partially my fault for being so obsessed with it - prior to my descent into fangirl insanity he quite enjoyed it but was then put off by my weird behaviour. Ahem.). Firefly, though, was a show we both really enjoyed.
Such a waste to have it cancelled like that, and with so many lose ends too. What makes me particularly mad is that I'm sure it would have had better audience numbers if they hadn't shifted it from timeslot to timeslot. If nobody knows when its on, nobody can watch the show, right? Ugh.
Another show that I think shouldn't have been cancelled is Veronica Mars. Or rather, I still enjoyed it when it was cancelled BUT it was going downhill ever so slightly, which is why I decided to stick with Firefly. Veronica Mars, brilliant as it was, was really best in its first season - by the time season 3 came round it was a bit all over the place. Still, the trailer for the new re-vamped VM at the FBI looked intriguing. Also, I think no matter where they would have taken the show, as long as it had Logan Ecchols in it I would have watched it.
