Oh wow, this is powerful! The terror and grief on Merlin's face just scream off the page! Love your use of colour (I know I say that to you a lot but I really, really do!) and the play of light in this piece is wonderful. The creepy, disembodied, gloved hand of Uther is just perfect. Many kudos!!

Eeeek! This is very creepy. haha, I typed 'pretty' at first by mistake. Seriously. Although it's that too! The hands and his face, with Uther's menacing hand..it's all kind of mesmerizing.

The grief and disbelief on Merlin's face are beautifully rendered and the play of light and shadows are gorgeous in this.

I can only hope this has a somewhat happy ending (with six corpses, it can't be a totally happy ending, can it?).

I'm thinking that Arthur realises what's happened and then charges down, breaks down the wall and gets him out. (Of course, by then, Merlin's sanity has drifted off down the Swanee a bit, but Arthur gently nurses him back to mental health.) *G*
