This is gorgeous! In a creepy way, of course! Merlin's expression is a perfect mix (to me) of fear, restrained panic, and terror. Poor Merlin, though -- that candle's not going to last long.

But, holy crap, the scariest thing is definitely Uther's hand.

This is absolutely gorgeous work. Really creepy, especially Uther's hand. And the look in Merlin's eyes...just so heartbreaking. Glad in your head, Arthur rescues him.

Thanks for the link to the story, I hadn't seen that, so it was really interesting to read. It's always very flattering/nice to think you've inspired someone to make something.
