Kurt Vonnegut died this week.  Judging by google news, this story has just hit the press.  Honestly, I am in shock.  I wish I had gone to see him when he made an appearance in Indy a few years ago.  Vonnegut himself would have been irreverent and funny at a moment like this, but I'm just sad and shocked.

So, my (Mom's) cousin is a grad student at the Jacob's music school and he directs his own opera company.  They're having a show this Wednesday at 7:30 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.  The opera is Handel's Acis and Galatea, which is an English opera.  My cousin, being the creative one that he is, has set this show in a circus, so there will be ( Read more... )

I finally finished reading White Noise by Don Delillo...I really loved the writing style and it was a good story, so I don't why it took me so long to read it. Anyway, there is no relation to the movie (in case you were wondering) and I would definitely recommend it.
