now my mind has certainly been to the most dark and remarkable places
surpassed only by where it went after
i know this beauty
i know this horror

like i know myself

to be able to predict
and yet still
willingly manifest
even the negative

in hopes of lessons learned
we all take the good with the bad

the snow hasnt let up
i flipped my mattress yesterday
after you were here
i read a little
i slept a little
then i woke up
started thinking about
the hidden meanings in things
then i wrote this
partly because
i had nothing else to do
partly because
i knew there was something
unsaid

i need shelter
from the wind
from your breath
against my back
somewhere to hide
where nothing
penetrates inside

i have worn my scars
with pride
i have walked with both
cheeks turned toward pain
but now i need something
to break the cycle
something to smear me
into a wall to
make me a tree
a rock a flower

help my tormented soul
help free me
from

my love for you
will not die with me
it will burn on bright
in the eternal oven
that warms all of the
collective consciousness
when you see the sunlight
shining and illuminating
your day, your path
be aware
for that is me
in all my
simplicity

i should not let people like you keep me up at night.

i hope a raven
eats your eyes out
while you sleep
so nobody else
you know
turns to
stone

i have been
every thing
and every one
on the earth
at some time
or another

other people's complete and utter disregard for others never ceases to amaze me. whats most disappointing is when we let these type of people into our lives thinking perhaps we can help them or better them, but of course we cannot, because that is their job. personal change is something that must come from within, although we can plant the seeds; ( Read more... )

shards of glass
under moonlight
people bustle
bundled and layered
smokers back cut
throat shoppers
stress covered in
red for the blood
and green for the
earth
