Sunscreen does not last forever. Applied at 3:15, slept on, and then worn in the sun for several hours, it will fail to do its job and you will get a sunburn. Also, SPF15 is kinda worthless.

In other news, ow, my face is peeling.

So I went for a nominally 8 mile run on Saturday. Turned out to be a great day for running, cool and damp without being cold or wet, and keeping the people volume relatively low. Sometimes I really feel like I bring my work home in the form of cooking. Which is not to say that I'm cooking viruses on my stove. It's more that I've got a sourdough starter in the fridge, and I've been making yogurt. These are very similar to, if not exactly like, cell culture.
