So I posted a while ago about my unreliable vendor. Now it turns out they're even worse than I thought. Last week our "scheduler" was checking on how many donors we had left. We've been trying to screen a new set of donors at work for a bunch of studies we have coming up. There is one company down in California that is supposed to send us 1 bag of blood-product from 1 donor every week (a new donor every week) until we have screened the whole lot. Right, it's April Fool's Day. Trust nothing, especially off the Internet. So, what's good today? I've seen GMail/Gesture Mail, and a USP-powered nether portal.

Scene: Popular American quiz show (non-stupid).

Host: And here's our first question: What is a four-letter word for precipitation that makes Seattlites panic?

All I want are pretty axis on my graphs. Specifically, I want the Y axis, with a logarithmic scale, to have the values written 10(superscript)3 not 1.0E+3. Why is this not possible? The suggestions I've found online are "Fake it with a Text Box" and "Use Prism (or something else)". This is annoying, and I don't think it needs to be so difficult ( Read more... )
