It was beautifully tragic...and I don't usually like tragic, because I don't like sad endings, but I loved this! How did you manage to pull off tragic without making me sad?

I don't think they're doomed. This is sad... but I think they love each other enough, and will keep going, and someday will be happy. So... that's how. It's not hopeless. :D

Tessa, I love this story. I love how you pulled me into their lives and made me care about them in such a short time. The image of Beauty sitting at bottom of the stairs with the wilted rose had such a disappointed, sense of longing and a fearful dread feeling to it. I felt her urgency as she made her desperate, bloody dash through the forest. The ending was gruesome and tender in the same breath. Well done!
