Well it's been the hardest 4 weeks of my life, but we made it. We are home from hospital with small 9 week old boy (not back up to birth weight, but hope he'll be there by the end of the week). You will get there Marie! Of course he had the best start, its just unfortunate what has happened, and you couldn't have planned or prevented it. Its not your fault :) Mothers who adopt babies can breastfeed with sheer determination, so there is no reason why you won't be a milk monster in a few weeks time. I'll be very interested to read your little blog, what a good idea! Thinking of you, Lots of love, Sue W xxx

Thank you Sue. Hospital appt. went well on Thu. he's now above his birth weight ! I hope that next week (@10 wks) he'll actually be back onto the weight chart in his red book, which will be a big step in the right direction. We're back at the hospital tomorrow to talk to the gastro. team, and we'll get him weighed again (I'm very thankful the QMC car parking pass don't run out till the end of the month). I hope that soon he'll be strong enough to take him to the local clinic to be weighed, rather than the hospital. I might have to be cheeky while I'm at QMC though and ask for another tin of Nutramigin... one tin only lasts him 3 days !
