My vacation has been positively splendid. I haven't been so relaxed in ages. Its only unpleasant moments are precisely the reason why I do not want to return to Chicago so soon.

I am lucky to be surrounded by pillars of piercing strength to balance out the myriad weakness in my life.

Without warning, HBO has changed its On Demand offerings. No more Rome. I haven't yet finished the first season. This is highly distressing.

And I have a dentist's appointment tomorrow.

I go to Google and what do I see but birthday cake! This furthers my theory that the universe really does revolve around me ;-)
