Okay, I really am too stressed to think coherently. I'm probably going to Milwaukee this weekend.

Roamed around Archer Heights and West Lawn yesterday, but was sorely disappointed. Everything was too sullen and rough around the edges, and may I add not endearingly so. Archer is interesting for it goes from quiet blue-collar residental areas at the outskirts of the city to classic Polish to rough Mexican to Irish and before hitting downtown. ( Read more... )

Pullman was lovely. It was a balmy day, so we meandered around, marveling at the gorgeous green limestone church and the antiquated hotel. Pullman was initially a town made specifically for factory workers. Eventually, when the factory and town were flailing, it was incorporated into Chicago.
