Wow, I haven’t posted or even visited for far too long, since May.
No big dramatic life changes since then, other than we moved my stepdaughter up from Nevada two weeks ago. She is 18 and graduated from high school in June. In only two weeks, she has found a job (with me at Target), friends, and a boyfriend who hangs around the house. If we ( Read more... ) -

So…
-I got an A- in Greek, after thinking for the last several months I would likely get a B- (which I equated to being a failure as a grad student whether or not that’s true).
-I sold $60 worth of books on Amazon over the weekend. Yay Dave Ramsey for the inspiration.

Ugh. My seminary is closing. Although I had not planned to take a class next year, I am extremely fond of my classmates and professor and have quite thoroughly enjoyed my time there, crazy commute exempted.

Dad and I are planning a "Day in the Life of Wahkiakum County" photo contest and have been browsing Google to find sample contest guidelines. He found this website, specifically these three (1, 2, 3) photos, and we thought it was hilarious. -

This morning I was a guest speaker for the high school pre-algebra class. The students conducted an informational interview about how I use math in the workplace and then I worked with them to solve two word problems I created from the sort of tasks I do.
