Spillin' the beans!

Hi everyone.  It's a lazy, rainy, Saturday morning here at Strayer University.  I've been pretty busy doing the extreme Sudoku (16x16 instead of 9x9-- drive a man insane, for real) and listening to the web stream of Whaddya Know, live in Clemson... Really, sometimes I work though ( Read more... )

When are you moving? My dad and family are moving to Savannah in June so you will be even more on the way now! (or at least the same) Are you going to hang out in the coffee shop with the aging Frank Zappa fan and his young son Addicus?

To Savannah, huh? That's cool-- I like Savannah more than Myrtle Beach... We're moving in August-- probably beginning of August. Classes start on the 16th.

I may hang out there-- I'll have to check out my options. He has a son named Addicus? I didn't know that... You've been back there, haven't you? I remember you saying something about it, but I forget what...

Remember, there was a guy hanging out in the shop with a little boy named Addicus? That's just the kind of thing I remember I guess. Matt and I were there about two years ago when we were trying to decide where to move next. We walked by the coffee shop but didn't go in. We ate at a brewery for lunch and then left town.
Remember the armadillos in Savannah where we camped and heated our spiced wine over the camp fire? Sounds romantic huh? We also had lunch in the park in Savannah...haha

I remember all of that except for Addicus... Hmm, that's strange. We ate at that brewery-- copper creek? Wasn't impressed, honestly, but it threw us off that they were playing REM's greatest hits in the restaurant... I mean, isn't that some sort of Athens faux pas? Lisa's excited about the armadillos; we keep trying to make it down to Savannah, but things like grad school interviews get in the way.

On a side note... if I send you guys $20 can you get Lisa to ship me back my maternity clothes? she'll know which ones are mine, they're the XLs.

We're inching our way closer to you!

No problem on the clothes, but you will have to wait until Lisa gets back from Michigan...

Wow!! Didn't you live in Athens in 5th grade? That's really far south in GA, isn't it? I'll have to look at a map. Cool, excuse to go to Georgia! I don't think I have ever been there. ... wait you do mean athens georgia, right? yes, you do. you said "in the country".
I am surprised about your degree choice. I never knew you were so into education. But I knew you were all about trying new things with your classes. That's really cool! congratulations!

I just told my co-worker about your PhD and she said, "from my experience you don't have to be that smart to get a phd in education" but I beg to differ. you are a smart man.,

What a ho-bag... Give me a break.

And Cathy, I think you would really like Athens, and Georgia in general. It's a beautiful state.
