Man, my new bellydance teacher is something else. She sort of teaches, but then gets too caught up in showing off that she loses us. We're freakin beginners!! We don't need to learn 5 moves in one night, plus whatever the hell wiggling she does!! SO FRUSTRATING!!

Well, no one blew up, no thanks to Catie (yes, I heard you tell the guys with the bottle rockets to aim for my car!!) Though I did have a bottle rocket zoom out of nowhere and explode under my car, and at the stop sign, one of the stupid pedestrians lit one and dropped it right in front of my car. They all want to kill me!!!

I also realized a few days ago why I knit. Knitting is like life in that it's very easy to make mistakes, and if you don't correct these mistakes the final product is useless. Aha! I realize why I have been so frustrated with my dancing recently. A Miles Davis quote: "Don't play what's there. Play what's not there." Too many leads dance only to what's there, and I want to dance to what isn't there. It all makes sense!!

Arg. Too much information. I've been doing more research on my Kemetic Orthodoxy group. I still can't decide what I think about it all. On the one hand, I get the feeling that many people actually benefit spiritually from this group. Y'know, I'm getting sick of all the men I love being cartoon characters.

In high school, my friends and I made a hot nerds calendar. We took our guy friends and made them pose with calculators with out their shirts on. In Nashville. Went to the pool with my mom today. That rocked. I've been doing very little over the past few days. Lots of knitting. Lots of making up my own knitting patterns.
