I'm out of my house, and mostly into my apartment. (There's some large stuff down in the car that I'm waiting for a friend to come help me carry up to my third floor apartment.
These last four days have been very difficult.
Now I have to put everything away. Stuff is everywhere.

Today I told the kids I'm moving out.
Four of went to church this morning (the oldest doesn't go.) After we came back, K had decided to take them out to lunch. One last family event, I guess. Today is the day. We're telling the kids I'm leaving.
My kids will probably not remember the exact date. They may well remember the feelings and what the day was like, much like how people remember where they were on September 11th or when Challenger blew up.

selfish
K says all her friends say I'm being very selfish.
I guess it's true. I'm not willing to stay "for the children," and throwing the entire family into an uproar.
I think her friends are right. I am being selfish.

I had not intended to go straight to divorce yet; I don't see any chance of reconciling with K (read I don't want to), but I also want to make sure she's covered by my medical plan until she gets a job on her own.
