bots?

Hello messmates .  This comm has been getting SO many spam bots applying for membership!  I switched the membership to moderated after the first spam posting, but it's uncanny how many other bots have tried to get in.  I maintain a couple of other communities, and this is the only one being repeatedly hit by bots.

So what gives?  Is someone in here secretly

I have a feeling it might be because it hasn't been posted in for a while or something. So it's easier for the spambots to post in what they see as a 'disused' comm or something.

I have other comms that haven't been posted in for just as long or longer, and the bots haven't attacked them. It's weird.

GASP! Maybe it's YOU!!!!!!!! You with your dislike of certain social media sites and all! Either you're rightfully paranoid because spam etc. keeps following you around personally (and following you into this comm) or - you're a bot!!! You're wreaking havoc on purpose and blaming it on other websites, when all the time it's your robotic programming!

Am I right? :D
