Today at the gym I ran into Lance Henriksen. Frickin' Bishop!

I told him I loved his movies and he was the nicest guy about it. Usually actory types don't ask you your name because they don't give a crap, but Lance totally did. You know why? Class. (see below)

You can get a free hearing test via automated phone call to the Michigan Ear Institute at 248-865-4192. You can also just Google "dial a hearing" and find many more tests. I passed, though I didn't hear the low tone in my left ear as well as my right.

Today is the last day of my 20s. I've got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

Doug McInnes and I were interviewed about Newshutch on the Web 2.0 Show podcast! We were both pretty nervous but it turned out really well. Funny how often I say "ummmm", and "yaknow?". Better work on that.

Well, Newshutch is hosed at the moment. We had a surge in signups (thanks to mentions by stereolabrat and buntcurtis, thanks guys!), then 37signals linked to us, and then all hell broke loose.

I ordered a beefier server, but does anyone know of any good LA based colocation facilities? We'll have to make the move pretty soon I bet.

I met the best guy at Rite-Aid in Studio City: Richard Hatch from the OG Battlestar Galactica! He was behind me in line and I turned around and said "You're awesome". In spite of my dorkomatic gushing he was very nice. We shook hands and chatted about the old show and the new BSG.
