Because Truth died.

And I ain't used to these voices, but I got better hearing than most people. Most of the time I can hear someone talking halfway down the damn tree.

No matter how good a defense is, people can't be everywhere at the same time. If some are blaming the guards, they do not understand reality.

I've been saying the same thing to some of the dissenters. Bastet's Guard is the most effective version of the Guards I've seen so far, and I've been here a while now.

I don't have any martial ability but if there's anything else the Guards can use help for, please, my door is open.

It saddens me to see people placing blame on the Guards, I'm sure this would have been prevented if there was some sort of alarm system. It should not be on the Guard's head every time someone gets hurt.

Still, perhaps there should be some kind of light self-defense taught to those without experience keeping themselves safe?
