Wow, it's been a long time since I updated this!

It's my 25th birthday today. Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meee-eeee, happy birthday to me!

I'm sad. I traded my Civic Type-R in today. Practicality issues with the stuff from my band and the dj-ing meant I needed to get an estate for lugging gear about. So it's goodbye to my lovely black Civic which could leave 90% of the cars on the road for dead and hello to boring Focus estate with just over half the power of my Civic. Turns out the soundman we had was the regular soundman for the brush. Or rather he was, as they'd got rid of him a couple of weeks before. He was only there because the new guy couldn't make it. No wonder he didn't give a shit abot the sound ( Read more... )

We had our gig at the Brush last night. Didn't go too well. The soundman was useless. During soundcheck we must have asked him 15 times to put some guitars through the monitors before he actually did, and then only just. However, when we got on stage there was nothing coming from the monitors except the vocals.
