so bowman was always talking about how a friend of his designed the poster for walk the line, and i never cared, but today i was surfing the information super highway, and came across shephard fairey's (the obey giant) website. i found out that he's the one who designed the movie poster, which means that bowman is fucking friends with the obey

i tried to find some biographical info on fairey, but there doesn't seem to be any out there (which i should have expected).

yeah, i totally love it! but nobody ever laughs or gives props (i have never used the word "props" before unless in reference to a play/movie/photograph/etc.) when i say it in conversation. i'm glad someone shares my appreciation for the phrase.
