I have mixed feelings about Maryland. It's definitely not my first choice but it would be nice to GET IN SOMEWHERE????

That is bizarre, I've never heard of a deferred acceptance where the school did the deferring...I'm not sure how it would benefit them to make you wait a semester...

If it makes you feel better, my letter from the UoM med school had the same first line followed by a flowery form of "fuck you." Beh.

Yeah Maryland actually doesn't appeal to me that much anymore because it's out of state $$$ and they don't even have a Mass Comm major....which is what I want to do, I think. SIGHHHHH
