So i bought a 2nd gen 80GB Zune today (fuck Apple and everything that looks like Apple)

Its a pretty slick little toy

But i think the only real use ill have for an mp3 player is to listen to tunes while im taking a crap (also where i do 90% of my reading)

Yeah i bought one of those initially.

Then the software didn't want to install on my computer, and then the computer couldn't recognize the Zune when i plugged it in. Then after i thought i got it fixed, the zune tried to reboot and got locked on the loading screen. This meant that i couldn't even turn it off to try to boot it again. SO after like 6 hours of fucking with it, i had a broken Zune.

So i exchanged it for an iPod, plugged it in, installed iTunes, and had my full music catalog on the thing 30 minutes after I took it out of the package.

I still don't like iTunes, but i'll be damned if there isn't something to be said for ease of use when it comes to electronics.

Interesting... My software installed perfectly, and i had a full library on my zune in about 30 minutes.

I wonder if your's was just fucked up out of the box

Likely so, but i was going to France the next day and needed music, and KNEW that iTunes were renowned for their ease of use.
