Get a book on how to take good photos or learn from experience. Try out all the functions on the camera. Set it to manual and play around with the settings rather than setting everything to AUTO. That way you will learn better.

but i am just wondering... is it necessary to set the photo size to 15megapixel..? or can be set to 9 megapixel? are the megapixel important for the quality of photo produced and also the for the physical prints???
