Passengers. My name is Meth, I'm the ship's new Renovation Head. This means I'll be working with upgrading several rooms and/or decks around the ship. During that time, all areas within construction zones will be temporarily off limit to passengers. I'm good but I'm not a miracle-worker so be patient and you can get back to your whosits and ( Read more... )

It's Aspurran. Not uncommon.

[Sorry, the drug meth doesn't exist in Aspurra, or any Askoupurian province. AT least, not by that name.]

Oh! In my world, it's a drug...

[Well, how was he to know that?]

[There was no way for him to know, but she wasn't offended.]

There's a drug named Meth in your world?

[Interesting.]

What does it do?

Welcome!

Is construction zones where you build things?

Thanks, and yes, they are. They won't be hard to miss. White-tented areas circled with red tape. Giant signs that say "Do not enter."

Oh, okay! You won't have to worry about me entering.

Good. They are dangerous areas unless you know what you're doing.

Your name?

Just so ya know, some of the people might not listen and wander into your little 'construction zones' anyway. Be prepared.

They will enter and interfere at their own risk. My work zone is hardly safe for someone who doesn't know their way around a power saw or a jack hammer.

[Then again they'll have more to worry about than power tools if they interfere with her work.]

If someone is truly persistent I'll have to assume they wish to be put to work.

Hello, Meth! I'm Lika.

[Lika loev people. Even crewmembers.]

[How surprisingly enthusiastic. Meth tries to sound friendly.]

Good to meet you Lika.

Now would it be loose boards and falling objects we'd be looking out for if we trespassed, or you?

[Meth seems amused by this question.]

Yeah, loose boards and falling objects, among other things.

It's for the safety of passengers. Don't tell me they let you run around construction sites where you're from, hm?

Usually they just give us a helmet and make us sign a waiver.

metharchy July 10 2009, 02:04:06 UTC
I don't have time for waivers, and I don't see anyone handing out extra helmets yet, sorry.

[...not that she was really sorry. Meth didn't have time for amateurs on her job sites.]
