WMD in Iraq

Look at that, there was no WMD in Iraq, I think everyone knew that, I even think Bush did.  Great justification for war.  Great justification for over 1,000 deaths of American solidiers.  Sadly, our lovely president whom we re-elected has yet to call a single family member of those fallen soliders and offered his condolences ( Read more... )

:/ Depending on where you go; we're hated. In other places, we're pitied. And in a small percentage of places; we're loved (minus our politicians).

It's a mish mash, I promise.

I know... I've been to many countries around the world and I have gathered that. It's scary to think that the mishmash is just that, a mishmash.

It's sad that when I was telling people this over 2 years ago, people were getting on to me. I feel truely sorry for that 50% of the country.

Sorry, I can't add you yet because livejournal is being stupid and only loading half the page.

You've left out the tens of thousands of Iraqi civilian deaths, by the way.

It baffles me to think that 50% of America WANTED Bush... WANT us to stay in Iraq... and STILL support what is going on.

And these people think they are being PATRIOTIC!

You don't have to be a democrat to be patriotic ;)

I'm not going to get all republican on you but I don't agree with how the president is blamed for EVERYTHING. Yes he did have a big part in this but there's MANY other people that go into it, cia, fbi, faulty intelligence. I'm not saying he's not to blame at all but I don't think he should be blamed for everything :|

Turn it around though ... his whole point of going to Iraq before the weapons inspectors finished was not for WMD but to oust Saddam. Whether or not there was his intentions were known all along.

Actually I want to make myself clear on this so no one flames me. I was for the war in the beginning but it's turned into a bit of a disgrace and half of those people don't even have water or electricity. I don't know if that's a result of the military or president and I'm not going to debate it. I do however agree that Sadam should have been removed one way or the other. Assasination would've been just as well. I really fear we'll be in Iraq forever and we've been there for how long and haven't gotten very much accomplished. At the very least we could've found Bin Laden before worrying about Iraq. I do not love our president but I do not dislike him either :)
