Today marks the 7th anniversary of metropoledancer. Quite unbelievable really, as so much has happened during that time. In a few days I might do a quick retrospective of sorts, if I can find the time. More likely, however, will be that I will somehow incorporate the blog, or use thereof, into my book or subsequent media blitz. Something like that.

I've no excuses. I have alot going on and yet nothing really at all. Notwithstanding, I am writing more, finally. Further, I've been reading more and thinking more, all of which are good things. I have officially not posted in over two months. That's very sad. However, I have been rather (seemingly) productive. In the last two months I've gotten older, I've now nearly finished my fourth to last class in my program, I've finally started to substantively plot out the book I will publish by the end of this year, and I have been present at ( Read more... )

Did you ever wish you had a super power? Mine would be the ability to life/function without any sleep ever. Or maybe to just need to be plugged in for an hour only each day. Imagine how many books one could read and how much one could get done.

I wish I didn't need to sleep. I don't have the time for it.

I'm really digging all the attention the new civil rights movement is getting these days. The issue of gay rights is finally enjoying some long overdue and much needed focus and I am excited to see the progress being made during this time of social upheaval in this country. Maybe we will indeed one day achieve some level of equity for all citizens.

It is only the middle of week 4 of 13 in my classes and I'm already starting to think that this may have been a bad idea. As much as I enjoy them, taking two at once defeats the purpose of having a fun hobby to do while commuting, in the late evening before bed, etc. Fortunately the two I chose this semester are very well balanced in that one is ( Read more... )

In one of my courses this semester we are exploring various media that can be utilized for distance education. Hence, we are required to sign up for things like Skype and Second Life in an effort to learn by doing. Interestingly, we are also required to create and maintain a blog all semester.
