Did the conversion wrong Tension: 10 cm (3.9 in) measures 19 st and 26 rows. My gage measures 2 in so ½ of 19 = 9.5 and ½ 26=13. Thus my 10 rows and 12 stitches is off by not much at all!

I’ve had the second eye surgery to remove a cataract; now that both eyes are complete, my long range vision is almost perfect. My short range vision is getting better but not good. So knitting is a challenge.

This project is driving me crazy. I actually started it in October to give to Katie at Christmas. I had another project going for her sister, so I figured I’d get to it in November. I finished the first project and started Katie’s and got sick.

Went back to the sweater after Christmas and ran into problems.

Yesterday, when I took the painter’s tape off, the primer and wall board paper came off too in places. Pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen. As a result, I didn’t tape the trim before painting the walls. Still it took most of the day to cut in around the window, the wall edges, the cabinets, and closets. Have you noticed how things have slowed down? When I believed that this would be a 3 or 4 day job, I made an appointment to get my hair cut at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2. So I taped the ceiling, cut it in, painted it, took a shower, and went and got my hair cut.

So I took the day off and went to see UP in 3D. Very nice movie. Everyone should go, with a loved one, and some tissues. It is cute and funny and occasionally, scary, and sad. All and all, perfect!

Back to work.

It’s gonna need another coat. Damn those kids! Kiltz all yesterday. When it gets tacky it comes up if you roll over it, hence the spots in the ceiling.  Oh well, bought the paint in colors for the walls, ceiling, trim and another gallon of Kiltz, some small rollers, hand cleaner, Woodchuck, and aspirin. Ok. Got the work done. Naturally it took longer than I expected. Found a great helper in Lowe’s. Bought a plastic jump suit instead of making another stop. No Dif, got something called Piranah.
