Here I am again! ^o^
First of all, a service announcement. Lol, I sound so official! XD
Lately I came across the translation of a cute - what was it, Bell/Mammon? - doujinshi, and I noticed that the owner of the site complained about it. I was honestly surprised, since I believed adding the obligatory credits and a link to the source site would

The person saying that their doujin should be taken down made their LJ just for posting that. They had no other posts or comments and were in no communities, but then how did they even find out about their work being scanlated?
Personally I don't make it a habit of stalking various LJ communities without friending them to keep track of new posts.
I honestly think that someone just wanted to be mean and made that LJ just to frighten the person who scanlated the doujin ._."
Maybe they didn't like the scanlator, or the doujin, or the dounjinka, who knows. There have been a lot of strange people posting junk (spamming) in various communitites lately.
... and now I wonder why I even bother you with this... maybe I should just delete this post... I'll see how I feel after I wake up ._."

I honestly believed that giving credits to the author (and thus not 'appropriating' the doujinshi as you own work or things like that) would be enough - after all, that's what people usually do even with published doujinshi. Naive of me, perhaps, but - well, what's done is done. ^^
I already started sending some e-mails asking for permission, so now I just have to wait. I just hope no one will deny me the chance to translate them - I would be very sad. ;_;
P.S. Why delete your comment? It's relevant to the post, after all! ^o^ This is something that's been troubling me for quite a few days, I'm happy to hear some opinions over the matter. ^^

Or like in my case you just don't speak their language xD
I could write them page long mails about how I want to use their art etc. but judging from all the strange English on covers and so on I believe that they'd have trouble understanding what I mean xD

Giselle's manager answered me in Japanese, of course - but started the mail with a little message in English (probably made through Babelfish) in which she offered to write to me again in English if I had problems with the Japanese. ♥
SO sweet of her. Though I don't think I would have managed to understand a lot if she'd done so... ^^;

Thank you for sharing this one. It's definitely the sweetest so far, I think.

And I do believe this is one of her sweetest - though to be honest I'm still not quite sure what Mukuro and Chrome are talking about. *cough* Apart from the fact that it deals with LIES, I mean! XDD
