i can't say i'm a hundred percent certain but i do believe that the 7-11 chain have started franchising (in singapore anyway). and i suppose in a certain way it makes a lot of sense. there are so damn many 7-11s in singapore (more than 400 says the web site), can you imagine how much of a pain in the ass it is to staff all these 7-11s? much better
