What to do to do to do
So I've been playing with Wordpress for a while and wondering whether to move over permanently. Pros and cons either way are:
Wordpress:
Feels less like a community but a stand-alone Blog. Not so good.
Works really well and has a lot of fancy stuff (like stats) that LJ doesn't have for non-paid account users.

Germaine passed me a dress during the last SMAC and it was cut a bit too low and I hate wearing a tube. So I took it to the tailor across the road and asked her to please shorten the shoulder straps. When I went to collect it the next day, this happened:

Number 3
So on my birthday, I got cake number three, which was a wonderfully light Japanese cheesecake from Flor. And a really nice day to boot, thanks to Eugene who organised it all.
All these smiley couple shots lately... it's almost as if we were doing a pre-wedding album as ourselves doing the stuff we always do like eat and drink whisky and hang with ( Read more... ) -
Number 2
Tonight mom brought out a sugee cake for me to cut as a birthday cake. It was a simple, unadorned cake, but it was good. Dripping with brandy, if you know what I mean.
But Craig would not stay out of the picture. Here he is shaved bald again... hair for hope.

Building up to a good weekend
If events were like sediments to be sorted on a beach, someone up there decided to pack the start of my week with intense frustration to allow for a very chill and happyfying weekend.

Summertime in London
I cheat.
Everytime I go to London, I choose a time when the days are long and the people are happy. I skip the dreariness that is Winter, and take advantage of the light to do things like bask in the sun past seven in the evening, and stroll home under the darkening sky at eleven. It's a great time to visit.

Strange seatmates
My flight to London was the most bizarre yet. I was seated with two Aussies, with me occupying the aisle seat. They seemed pretty nice at first - friendly and polite, and so I didn't mind that they had A LOT of stuff. Big bags, small bags, plastic bags, laptop bags - some of it went into the overhead luggage compartment, the rest they squished ( Read more... ) -

Tonight at dinner Craig lost a chicken bone. No kidding. He got up, went to the rice cooker to get more rice, sat back down, scratched his head, went back to the kitchen to examine the floor, and then returned to the table, and started lifting the rice up from his plate and looking underneath it.
