symantec didn't have a virus cleaner thing for it on their website?

I don't use Norton...hate it. I found a couple of fixes for it online...the one I tried last night didn't work b/c my computer would freeze every time I try to remove it with the program they suggested. I'll probably just have to format. Gotta call Dell and see if they'll send me a Windows disk first.

sometimes symantec has steps listed to clean it yourself from the registry.
that would beat formatting.
