Hello everyone. My name... is Lieutenant Horatio Caine. Back home, I am the head of the day shift of the Miami-Dade Police Department crime lab; a CSI.

[A pause there before-] I have taken the time to read both the guide which Ms. Sage has provided us... and looked through much of the information provided for us in the Welcome Center. ( Read more... )

Much better now that he's finally behaving.

[...Well that's suspicious. But more than that-]

And who might that be?

That pathetic fool you were talking to the other day.

And so who... might you be?

You don't waste time, do you? Way to be gung-ho, officer.

Thank you.

I have found... that the best way to handle things is to get them done rapidly but efficiently.

I'm impressed. The police force in my home-town were anything but rapid or efficient. More bungling and ineffective.

Regrettable. One hopes I can give you a better impression.

Thank you for the clarification. [Somehow, while dry, that is still sincere]

[Nodding there. He had assumed as much there-] I see. However... the difference is still not apparent to me.

I agree, pirates and vigilantes really aren't my cuppa. But there are clearly some bad people here, that we ought to at least try to keep an eye on even if we can't put them in prison.

Oh! Where are my manners? I'm Tonks, it's nice to meet you Mr. Caine. Where I'm from, I'm an Auror - I think it's sort of like a please-man, we catch the worst Dark Wizards, the ones who kill and hurt lots of people.

There's at least one Dark Wizard around here that I know of. But from the sound of it, he's not the only murderer in Luceti.

We can put them in prison.

[...And now that this is out of the way-] Nice to meet you as well, Tonks. [He wants to say Miss Tonks but somehow that seems off. Hm. Oh well] And I... would imagine not.

I'm not sure how that would work. I know my powers are rather limited here. Where would we confine them, and how? It would take a lot of coordination and planning - I'm not sure my magic would be able to hold someone from another world where magic is different, for instance.

Anyway, I'm not sure that we'd need a whole new group, but maybe a bit more organization, or some kind of alert system, to warn people if someone is acting in a suspicious manner. Just... some way to keep murders from happening, if at all possible.

Magic is actually the opposite of what I was thinking. The guide describes a tunnel system in which all "powers" are null-in-void. Making a cell in such a place would be a perfect hold.

From the way things sound, those organizations take care of things here pretty well already. In fact, I, a defender of justice in my home world, plan to join the Blue Rogues as soon as possible.

Those organizations are not sanctioned by an entity and in the case of the Rogues admittedly operate outside of the law in their own world.

There's no entity to sanction them, here. And "law" and "justice" are often two different things.

I... don't see any difference.
