Chicago Con 2010-A SPN Con Newbie’s Experience

LiveJournal is either being a pain or I don't know what I'm doing (could be both).  I had this fixed up nice with pics but then it wouldn't post everything so for now I'll just post this.

I’m not sure what I expected since I had never been to a con before but for me, it was my dark side of the moon.  Hmm….that makes it sound bad but I think you SPN

Wish I could have met you. I was there too. Im from Tennesse as well. It was so much fun. Ill be in Nashville as well. Im glad Misha is coming here finally!

I'm sorry we didn't get to meet but at least there's Nashville! Hopefully we can meet there. What part of Tennessee do you live in?

I had a great time at the Con with you!! Too bad that "Eye of the Tiger" escaped us at the Karaoke party. I love how you conveniently had Foreigner in your car.....in case of emergency:) I'm glad you were able to chat briefly with the guests at their photo-ops and autographs.....and your pix are wonderful. I was really hoping that you would enjoy your first Con experience, since it can be a bit overwhelming. But you navigated through just fine!! And Jensen showing up at the last minute was truly the icing on the cake! you came, you saw and you conquered! Now get some rest, girl!!!!

Rest? Pfft...I'll do that when I die! LOL I think it did all kinda catch up with me this morning though.

I was actually pretty amazed that my first con went so well. Someone upstairs definitely likes me. :) And I have pretty much the whole SPN soundtrack in my car so I could have whipped out just about anything at the last minute. I'll know to sign up for karaoke early in Nashville!

It was fun, Terri. Hope we can do it again!

Sonya, I'm reading this while I have my Sunday morning coffee and honestly there couldn't be a better way to start the day. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful experience with us - and you already know but I have to say it again, Sarah and I are going to JIB in Rome next year!!!! Hugs, Sabine

Hi Sabine! I'm so excited for you and Sarah. You guys are going to have so much fun! I had the time of my life and the week after was awesome too. Chicago is a great city with so much to do. I still didn't get to do everything I wanted to.

Awesome report Sonya, it was great to read what a fun time you had! And you still have Nashville and Vancouver cons to look forward to too! Can't wait until next year and JIB con, Sabine and I are going to have a blast.

Vancouver is still a little iffy even though I bought tickets. I just don't know if I'll be able to afford it but I hope I can. I thought that was the only way I'd ever meet Jensen and then surprise!! I'm so glad he came to Chicago. That just made my first con perfect. You and Sabine are going to have so much fun at JIB. Can't wait to hear about it.

It sounds like you had an amazing time, I'd KILL to meet either Jared or Jensen! And then getting to see Jared again with Gen, how lucky?! They sound really sweet; I think it's adorable what she said about supporting Jared - is she living up there with him now?

I’m not gonna lie to you. I was a nervous wreck about meeting Jensen. When I looked around the corner of that room and saw him standing there, looking all gorgeous in that black shirt, well, I thought I might lose it

You should follow our FB page! We post a lot but you can always hide it from your main feed and visit when you get a chance.

I did have an amazing time! I think for my first con it couldn't have been any better. I don't know if Gen is living in Vancouver with Jared but it did sound like they don't want to be apart....awwww! And I know there have been pics of her on the set.
