I went to donated blood yesterday for the first time. As with a lot of things my body reacted to things backwards. First they do a finger prick to draw a little bit of blood to test that your iron level is high enough. The nurse said the finger prick was the worst of it and that it hurt more than the needle they use to draw the blood. Well I didn't

Congrats to you. I've always wanted to be able to donate blood (even my horror of needles, I figured it was a good thing to do). But I can't; they don't stock pedeatric needles at blood banks & my viens are too small for the "regular" needles.
Yeah, pathetic, I know.

Its always possible it was just a fluke of placement that made it so uncomfortable. Hopefully, next time will be better.

Wedding plans are going well. I've pretty much been on wedding planning vacation since I booked my florist and ordered some things off of eBay. We picked up the girls dress about 3 weeks ago and I just got a call today that my dress is in. Major items outstanding are rings, honeymoon and finalizing tuxes. Then of course a bunch of details. I think I've pretty much got things under control. I just have to make sure that I don't stay on vacation too long and end up falling behind.
