I read a lot of comics. That much is becoming painfully clear. Having an opinion on each of them, well…. Let’s face it, I am kind of opinionated, even if I don’t always force my views on others. Here, a week later, is my take on what I read last week. For some books I’m erring on the side of brevity.

On Aquaman... I liked the previous series more, I collected the first few issues, but it seems Aquaman has lost that edge I enjoyed...

On Green Arrow... I love the series. He's always been a favorite character of mine, the constant DC maverick. And the family storyline works well for him, lovable, but gruff. The artwork could be a bit better, but I've enjoyed the story.

On JSA... I used to live for those JLA/JSA summer team-ups, so I love the fact that the JSA has their own title. Wildcat and the original Flash were always my favorites. The artwork has been pretty good of late.

On Wonder Woman... She kicks ass no matter what happens to her...

I REALLY need to go pick up my comic books apparently.... :)

ACTION COMICS #827 - I don’t think that I can follow all the Superman titles for any length of time. It just takes too much effort and there is painfully little given back in return. Something roped me in for this small series (the Eclipso/Captain Marvel angle) but I’m heading for the hills at the first sign of confusion or boredom.Funny enough. This one SENT me for the hills. I like Eclipso. I like.. no love... Superman... but the whole thing... meh... just didn't work for me ( ... )

I love seeing yours and other folks takes on the books they are reading out there, and tis much appreciated that there isn't too much by way of spoilers in your post ( ... )

Hey there - sorry we missed today. I actually got to the store at lunch too. Had to grab my New Avengers! As well as the Green Lantern book. Didn't see much else I needed this week. We'll have to catch up this weekend - and we still need to set a date to watch Justice League.

I just found your lj through random surfing.. have you heard the Debbie Harry song "Comic Books"? It randomly came on my iTunes as I was skimming through here. Surely that is a sign!
