True Blood is crazy fun. I bet you haven't even gotten to Maryann and her giant "motherfuckin' Paul Bunyan pig" yet.
How many episodes of Hung have there been? I watched the first one was intrigued, but it was all a bit tired and done (crazy poet lady! Goff son! Conniving ex!). I'll probably keep watching.
What else should you be watching? Um, I'm going to watch the 10 Things I Hate About You pilot tonight. I'll...get back to you on that one.
Oh! The feature length Virtuality pilot might be worth a peek. I haven't finished it yet, but it wasn't bad, and there's always a chance it'll get picked up. Imagine Star Trek, except they spend a lot of time on the holodeck, and also their mission is being televised Big Brother style.
Oh, and! And! Torchwood is loving its alien/monster movie "references"/thieving this week. The tank with the alien occasionally throwing shit at the window is so done to death (Independence Day - Data RIP, never forget), and Gwen looking into a shaky-cam and going "PEOPLE ARE GUNNA WUNNA KNOOOWWWW...HOW THE WORLD ENDED!" is so Cardiff-field it's laughable.
Hung was alright, I could see what they were trying to do, but the characters were all very much-of-a-muchness, and there was a terrible voiceover which... I kind of got the feeling was never meant to be there. It was all very much like they'd watched Weeds and thought they could write the same exact show, but without any of the wit and vim that Weeds has. Titles are nice, though, they have a bare bum in them.
