Lubricant is such a "juicy" word. (Sorry, I had to. You love it. I can see it. You're laughing like a little girl.) You are certainly one of my kindred spirits... grammatical biggots are we indeed, which is really nothing short of amazing, both being from rural northwest Georgia... Teach those Coosa punks how to "talk right!" You'll be an awesome example: "Kids, I am from Summerville and somehow I learned to speak English correctly. You can too!" Good times.
That was very well expressed, which I guess it kind of had to be since you were talking about words and language and expression and the like. I, too, am a bit of a grammar snob, but I completely agree that it is a vital tool to have in society in order to be taken seriously. I'm glad there are teachers who are still concerned with correcting simple mistakes like that that can change the entire perception of a student's intelligence. Sho' nuff. -Greer
