A broken wing lies outside the door of my study (the basement pool room I've converted into a study/office/library). Like, literally, just the one wing torn off from the rest of the bird's body. For months I pretended that the ghost of the same cat roamed the streets and that it never really knew that it got run over.

I think there are a lot of imaginative kids who aren't always at the top of their class. but yeah, first honor to valedictorian from kinder to Highschool. haha. :)
were you an imaginative kid who wiled his time on everything and nothing? or were you the boy who got up at 4.30am every morning as 'sacristan' for the local church?

My dad was a minister, but he never encouraged me to be a sacristan. Marami namang volunteers eh. I sang in the choir though.
So your mom was the disciplinarian?
