It’s been a while since I’ve been to the zoo. I think I oohed and aahed more than my little niece did (who was the main reason I went). For those of you who want to see Australian wildlife (Not the Friday night variety), here are some pictures.

Welcome to Oz. Please follow the signs.

You take good pictures. The koala bear shot cracks me up. I remember one specific koala bear at the park looked SO TIRED from posing with tourists all day long!

haha. maybe it was tired or probably drunk. koalas munch on eucalyptus leaves all day which is quite alcoholic. :P

aww... zoos are so cool (even if the animals might hate their lives). my dad wanted to go to a zoo this weekend too, but there are no good ones near me.

this zoo did have many animals freely roaming about. but i hated it because the young kids would grab them and pat them and drag them around!

but i must say that while i am anti-cages, and that they should be free, there is value in having them all in one place if only to educate the young. my niece didn't recognise half of the animals in there!

plus, most of the zoos nowadays bear more resemblance to the animal's natural habitat. the one i went to unfortunately wasn't one of them. :P still.
