Amazing how the mind works.

*EDIT*

Seducing a man is very easy. A flirty remark here, a bat of eyelash there, a flash of legs here, a glimpse of cleavage there. The list of things we can do using our brain and bustier to capture a man’s attention is endless ( Read more... )

Amazing how the heart works too.

Funny you posted this... I was just thinking today how amazing the mind and the heart are. The mind, obviously because of how it can control our whole being.. I suppose I'm talking more about the brain. But are mind and brain the same thing? Hmmm...

And the heart,.. well metaphorically speaking, it's amazing how our heart works with all that emotional stuff. And how we do everything we can to protect it... mostly using our mind. But I'm thinking now that what connects our heart (in the metaphorical sense) and our brain (in the intellectual sense) is the mind. So maybe the brain and the mind aren't the same thing...

Arghh... I didn't mean to get into this... this subject matter approached in this way is too cerebral for me at this point in time! Need to get back to my Purple City article....

haha. Yes, you need to get back to your Purple City article. :P I am expecting an update.

the brain and the mind are two different things. the brain refers to the physical organ while the mind is defined as "the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought"

as the mind also tells us what we 'feel', we are actually talking about what we are 'thinking/feeling' through our mind. so you are right about the heart-brain connection (i think. :P)

this reminds me of a conversation we had about irrational and rational behaviour...i would actually finish the thought here but i'm sleepy now. get back to you tomorrow. :P

it is hard to determine genuine intent when meeting online, but when the guy actually shows up in your little island after travelling miles across the seas just to see you, i guess that says something :)

haha... I couldn't have said it better myself.

I think the one thing that would probably do it for me is

A girl saying she loves me with a tear in her eye...

Assuming we've known each other for while off course ( can't have a random girl seducing me in the street)

with a tear in her eye? so you're a softie afer all! :)

LOL on knowing each other for a while. what if random girl is a physiotherapist who is a dead ringer for Eva Mendez slash Jennifer Lopez?

haha... if If I fall in love with her, it will be because of the tear and not the looks. In fact the look will not inspire love... it inspire lust.

Assuming she is a physiotherapist... it could be love at first sight. HAha. *no sarcasm inserted here*
