I always liked stories where Jack helps Liz overcome some of her sexual insecurities, as cliched as that is, but now that it's pretty much canon, I like it even more. And you said this was plotless, but by the end of it you definitely feel like they've taken a big step together - and I also love that it's not really attached to any season. I think I set it in season one when I read it, but it's sweet in a different way in later seasons, too. The sex scenes were so specific, but it felt intimate as opposed to, like, overboard, which can happen sometimes in detailed sex fic. IDK, it was just sweet, is what I'm saying, hee. I love the last lines.

Annnd I laughed out loud at "and who eats an apple after sex--" and "it makes her saying, 'You're good at oral sex' the equivalent of 'I love you'" etc etc.

I must say, it's something I've always enjoyed myself. And, yeah, I did deem it 'plotless' since the fic could be reduced to 'sex occurs!' but I did want there to be a sense that they have taken a step forward together, that Liz is getting much more comfortable with intimacy. And I'm glad it seemed intimate as opposed to overboard; I don't want the sex to overshadow why they're having sex.
