Oh, I loved this! The dialogue was terrific and Liz's narrative voice really clicked. I loved Jack correcting Liz's "can" to "may" and then her correcting it back. Also loved what I shall refer to as "the pickle story."

"So you'll do me while my boyfriend watches but you *don't* want to hear about my fungus issues?"

He stares blankly at her. Says, as if this were the most obvious thing in the world, "Yes."

LOL. I could absolutely hear/see Alec Baldwin's delivery there.

Thank you muchly! I'm glad all that worked for you, because I do worry all the more about getting the voices right when the plot is even farther away from what would reasonably happen on the show than my fic in general.

PERFECT LIZ VOICE AND BANTER MUCH? First, I was ridiculously amused by her obsession with his mouth because of my thing for Baldwin's upper lip. And second, Liz's thought-tangents were just awesome as were Jack's knowing looks (I like it when he is attentive even during non-sexy times).

That made me snort. Man, I love their back-and-forth. So perfect. And Unraveling Liz. UnraveLiz. I cannot wait for the next installment.

You wrote more, I love this, by the way, even though (or because?) its so weird.

It always amazes me how well you capture Liz's thoughts, that is exactly how I think her brain works. So even though this is super far away from canon, you make it feel real and actually possible, which is why I love this so much.
