Sweet Jeebus! I've been wanting to see Tom Waits my whole life! How come I didn't know about this?

Grrr...I'd be tempted to grab a plane, but there's too much going on down here, both socially and work/fire related.

My Morning Jacket are a phenomenal live band -- I'd put them up there with Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire. I can't vouch for their acoustic set (which it appears they are doing this weekend), but their electric shows are majestic.

That seems like one of those impossible-to-get-a-ticket-to kind of events, for insiders only. Tom Waits with the Kronos Quartet? Dang!
