Tomorrow night there is a sake tasting party & fundraiser at my aikido school in Newton. The sake is high-quality, and we're auctioning a lot of really nice stuff, like an electric scooter(!) and a collection of yours-truly's favorite graphic novels. My aikido school has a big fundraising push on right now, because we're trying to move to a (much) better location, and the move will be

As of yesterday, my final and permanent teeth are finally and permanently attached -- bringing to a close the multi-year, many-thousands-of-dollars process. Someday the top will need replacing as well, but hopefully that will be a ways down the road.

I was just channel-surfing, and on AMC they're showing Blazing Saddles. Cool! But now, not cool. They have EXPURGATED THE WORD "NIGGER" FROM BLAZING SADDLES!!!! WTF?

Returned Monday from a very successful weekend at the annual convention of the National Council of Teachers of English. Sold lots of books, got lots of praise, made good contacts, etc. It was exhausting, but also very, very encouraging.

Ok, so it's not a traveling production of The Three Musketeers, by Double Edge Theatre. It's Double Edge Theatre helping Brandeis put on a student production of The Three Musketeers.
